As a baby ES7, the ES55 equipped with CCAW voice coil 40mm driver unit and OFC cord in a portable headphone is giving us the most out of an affordable portable headphone. The weight is still reasonable at 120g with very soft earpads for everyday comfortable music listening. The mirror like ear cub signature design has been replaced by brushed aluminum cubs at the ES55. But I think this design is more suitable for portable daily use headphones as it will reduce the scratches and finger prints. May be getting too many complains from the ES7.
